Wow, these past couple of days really have been rather confusing.

Monday wasn't too bad. We had rehearsals, and we went through the new scene that I had to write in. What I decided to do was to use the lyrics of the chorus to Jai Ho as dialogue for the characters (those being the two Genies, the Sultan and Widow Twanky). Everyone loved the idea, which was an immense bonus for me! So, it was only a quick chance we got to rehearse it, but it actually didn't go too badly (I mean, it could've been MUCH worse). Now, since I didn't want the job of directing it (didn't wanna seem too pushy), others in the cast decided to pitch in with directorial ideas, and they worked rather well. We had the Sultan and Widow T situated behind a market stand, and Elliot and I up on the top podium. The Sultan and Widow T were directed as I had envisioned them: Widow T pulling the Sultan into his “boobs” as he said his lines (you guessed it: Widow T's our dame). Elliot and I were told to stand facing one another, holding hands. I must say, it was one of the strangest (yet most wonderful) experiences ever! His hands are always so soft and warm...it's just...indescribable!

[I cannot believe this, but I have downloaded Jai Ho. I'm now listening to it. This is insane. I hate this song.]

Anyway, Tuesday brought me some rather unexpected news. I was walking home with Jess, when she turned around and, quite suddenly, burst out with, “Oh, Elliot doesn't actually know you like him! He didn't believe the people who told him!”

Of course, I was really confused at first. I mean, I was SO certain he had believed them; the rest of Sixth Form had. But Jess told me that she had overheard Jack (one of Elliot's friends) talking to someone in her Law lesson, and Jack had said that Elliot didn't even believe them. Now, goodness knows why he didn't believe them. Well, after much careful thought, I came to the following possible conclusions:

He is in the same situation as me: he likes me, doesn't know how to tell me, and didn't believe them because he believed that they were trying to be malicious towards him
He believed that they were being malicious and trying to cause tension within the cast
He did actually believe them, but decided to tell them that he didn't so that they wouldn't spread any further rumours.

The only trouble with my last conclusion is this: why would he tell his friends that he didn't believe it if he did? Surely he would tell his friends the truth? The only way I'll ever find out is to either talk to him or one of his friends, both of which are out of the question for me.

The trouble with the first conclusion is that I don't want to hope for it.

Well, who knows, 'ey?

In other news, I'm off to see Cabaret tomorrow! I'm rather looking forward to it.

Also, the cover for 'Coloured Shadows' is finally almost complete! I've got the hand sketch done; now all that's left is for me to add the BG and ink + colour on Paint Shop.

COMMISSIONS

Inspirations School is run by a Bristol based charity called the Maji Safi Project (registered charity number 1106384). Ashton Park School works closely with the charity, supporting the building and educational needs of the pupils at Inspirations. Currently, we at APS are working with Inspirations school on a large expansion plan, expecting to build 8 classrooms over the next few years.

In order for this expansion plan to go ahead, I need to raise £2100 for my personal costs, plus help to raise the £5000 for the building equipment. Everything sold at this stall goes towards raising money for the expansion plan to go ahead.

Children without an education in Kenya die at a much younger age than those with it. In purchasing from me, you are helping to save lives.
